We have a seasonal site there. The owners are awesome! VERY Atv and Utv friendly. Clean showers and restrooms, play area for the kids and a pond for swimming and fishing!

Tons of trails to explore! Lots of other things to do if the weather gets to nasty to ride! Parts as close as seven miles from camp depending on brand!

Thats are little slice of heaven every summer!

No, this is located in the Lower Peninsula - east of I-75 about in the center of the state. Wink
Coming from the South Directions :
Take I-75 North to Exit 212. Turn Rt. towards West Branch. Entering West Branch turn Rt.onto Fairview (Rite Aid on corner). Drive 5 miles to Clear Lake Rd., turn left, drive 6 miles. Clear Lake Rd. turns left and becomes Grass Lake Rd., follow 1 mile to Campground on the right.

Jay, when you get the time - check out SSW's "Links to Riding Place's" thread.

How big is the campground? How many trails? Are they ORV routes? Looking for a Michigan rally site.

Ok, I checked the website and I see they do have ORV routes. Can you drive to them legally? How many miles of trails? Maybe an area for a mini SSW/PRC get-to-gether?

Sounds like a great idea Gary !!

Looked at my Lower Peninsula Michigan Off Road Map #1 and came up with these trails ( below ) in the general area. County roads are open also ( See below also ). Keep in mind some of these trails may be a short drive away but I pulled any that were in the general area and / or to the North and West.

Listed below are all the counties that have adopted P.A. 240. It is the users responsibility to KNOW the law, read the local county ordinance BEFORE riding !

County Ordinances are NOT identical. To obtain a copy of a county ordinance, visit www.micounties.org some are now posting roads open to ORV/OHV use along with their county ordinance. For further info contact the County Clerk or County Sheriff of the county you wish to ride. Some counties have maps available online or for sale in print.

What county is the campground in? How close are the nearest trails? Are there county roads from the campground to the trailheads?

I've never been there - I just did a little research on it. It surely looks to be a good time and after a little more info is revealed, I may not mind making a trip there for a weekend of camping and riding. Very Happy Wink I do believe it's in Roscommon County and their website states that you can ride to the trails:
" Make Beaver Trail Campground your home base as you explore the local area. Enjoy the nearby ORV trails, nearby lakes, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. You may ride to the trails right from our ATV/ORV/Snowmobile friendly campground". Maybe Family Adventure
(Rick) can add some additional info when he get's the time.
