09 Ranger XP front shocks

In need of some info of shock or spring replacement. Seems like my ranger bottoms out a lot in the front. Does this mean the suspension is wore out or does it have something to do with the rubber stop inside the spring no longer there? Either or is there a aftermarket replacement or should I stay stock?

Welcome to SSW, Ryan.

What year is your Ranger and how is it equipped (does it have a lift kit, cab, etc....)?

Re: 09 Ranger XP front shocks

Ryan, welcome to the SSW. On your 09 and other years as well, the problem you describe is very common - I would stay away from the OEM replacement springs, they're know to sag, and at times, break/crack as well. I would call Walker Evans - I do believe they sell shock bumpers for approx? $10.00 each. You may need to split them - install and safety wire it to close it up and hold it in place. I've heard very good feedback about the Highlifter and MakinTrax springs - I see a set of springs in the near future for my RZR. Good luck and keep us posted on what you decide to do and how it works out for you.
