Aidan Learned to Drive a SkyTrak

While I was at the office on Saturday Aidan, my 9 year old son had a big opportunity to drive a Skytrak Telehandler. For those that don't know, it is like a Giant 4 wheel drive forklift capable of lifting 6000lbs 36 feet in the air.

Scott, our yard Mechanic took Aidan out and showed him how to drive the SkyTrak. Once in awhile Scott, while walking beside Aidan would hit press the accelertor or steer the steering wheel. But all and all, Aidan did a great job driving and make a big loop around the yard almost on his own.

Then he got to extend the telehandler boom all the way out to 36 ft and play with all of the boom controls. He even got to pick up a masonry mud tub.

He thought he was totally cool. He was grinning from ear to ear. I don't think I have ever seen him smile so Big. It was pretty cool.
