So... I have been searching these forums for months finding all the info I needed without posting a new topic going over things already discussed. One thing I am trying to figure out tonight is why all of your RZRs are so perfect? Does no one ride them to their full potential? My plastics are all beat up. I have rolled it 5 or so times and ran into Rhinos at the dunes for driving to slow. Instead of those cheesy plastic things holding the plastics together I have zip ties. Also I have 1500 miles....what is it with posts with 150 miles or 25 hours etc. Lol...just want feed back on why you all dont ride them to their rull potential...or just behond should I say?;-)
P.S. I would go out and take pix but its at the shop for leaky gaskets and a leak test since sand was in the intake...

Fishman, you may want to start off on a friendlier foot, we are all here to help each other with our machines and ways to improve our riding experience. How or when we choose to ride is a personal choice. I'm sure we have many members that ride just as hard and just as much, as well as others that take it a little easier to make sure their expensive machines last long enough to be paid for. I'll be keeping an eye on this thread.

Machine

Well, mine is primarily a work machine. I do run the mountain trails but not alot. I guess I could go out and beat it up but then I might not be able to plow snow, haul wood, haul my wood splitter around, haul dirt and gravel, and haul debris away. Besides I'm retired, on a fixed income so I really can't afford to break anything "just for fun".

Definitely sounds like you are using it to it's fullest..lol. I know how to drive mine so I don't roll mine. If you are rolling it, then you are not making good decisions on speeds during turns. The go fast thing is fun at the dunes, but I prefer to snorkle it and go hit the deep mud. I'm glad you are having fun, but stay safe man! I want some pics of this beast!

Down here in the dense air we don't have to take it to the full potenial to go faster than you can in the mountians. Anyone can press a gas petal, good drivers know when to get off the gas and hit the brakes.
I am sure you have a lot to tell us about your riding experiences. We would like to hear it. Trust me, a lot our machines get beat up on the trails. Post a photo and I'll bet someone can post a photo of a nastier one.
Have fun and don't step on that dipstick.

fishman260 I know that some people have the money to spend and go crazy like you do but have to say most of us made a huge investment andwe push it as far as our pocket books allow us to. let me give you a good example/ ME i have and old school straight axle ranger 500 4x4 and I have run it hard well that has only made it hard on me as in two years I have only rode the darn thingmaybe two weeks

I sent it to california to get worked on (mods) and it spent 6-8 months there, then I got it back and the transmission went out and because of money issues is still in the shop waiting for me to come up with 2100.00 dollars to get it out , it has been there for 5 months

so see its not always a smart idea to push it so hard

After you get a few more years under your hood, you will discover the expense of running into others or being ran into. The expense is not only $$$ and if you hurt someone, be prepared for lots of $$$$$$$$$ and grief. But there is also a physical price to pay in your damaged body parts. Some of those wounds you have to live with for the rest of your life and they hurt on a daily basics. Something else to think on, IF you hit and hurt anyone in my family and after I'm done with you on the spot and you are able to move, I will be coming after you with every tool the law allows. I have seen the result of one who rode as you describe after he ran into others. I saw his dead body laying on the sand and his wife shacking and screaming with grief. Had my son-in-law miss being killed by the distance between the front wheel and the center of the bike by someone who liked to ride as you describe. The same laws on responsibility that apply to cars apply to quads. Think about what the law can through at you. How many years in jail does you state give for vehicular homicide? Please ride responsible. That means in control at all times. We do not need another story of death in a RZR. PLEASE think about the consequences.

Fishman is a troll. Hes has been here since this week and made (2) posts. WHat he doesnt know is that I accessed his DMV records and the only thing registered to him is a 1981 Honda 110 ATC 3-wheeler and according to his neighbor he painted it pink camo with a rattle can. He has a sticker on his helmet that says girls are mean to me.

Re: Am I the only one riding their RZR to its full potential

BELOW IS BY ELECTECH, NOT THE ORIGINAL POSTER

And, just for that, I have removed the whole post as we don't need to read that kind of garbage or put downs. If you have an opinion, then share it without demeaning folks. Yes, there are other forums out there where anything goes, this AIN'T one of them.
