I know there has been discussions on this forum about Turbos, but I am new to this forum. Anyone have any experience, good or bad, with the Dragonfire Racing Turbo? -Thanks David

I can't recommend, or advise you on the Dragonfire kit. However, based on many years experience designing and manufacturing automotive turbo systems, I would advise that you'll want to learn as much as you can about turbo systems. This will help you separate the advertising BS from the facts. Here's a link to a tech manual on general turbo system design. http://stores.thunderhawkperformance.com/automotive.htm

Insist on an intercooler. Optional intercoolers are a ploy to suck you in with a low price (you either add the intercooler and pay, or you get an incomplete system). Make sure you get a name-brand turbocharger (you will never go wrong with a Garrett, run away from Chinese turbos). The fuel system needs to be right to avoid detonation. Ask about heat shielding. Verify that kit is complete. Ask about boost levels (how the kit is sold and what boost they used for their advertised HP gains). Take all HP gains with a grain of salt (different dynos give different numbers, and these can be manipulated as well).

I haven't heard anything about Dragonfire setup, might be a relabel from some other vendor. Might ask them, and check from that direction.

Im trying to turbo my ranger right now and its not EZ. I know that the Dragonfire racing turbo is (not intercooler) thats y a lot of people dont buy there kit. The MCX kit has the most really driving time on there kits and they work, its just so expensive for there kit. They did a group buy one time on PRC that brought down the price at one time on the rangerxp and rzr kits, but they only did that one time. Would be nice if they did that agen hint hint
