Looks like a nice turn out.
One of these days I've got to go on a park tour.
I need a 2 months off work and a suitcase full of money or an empty credit card...

Royal Blue is about 40 miles north of Knoxville on 75

I guessing here, Gatlinburg is about 50 miles south and east of Knoxville,

I guessing it's about an hour and a half to get there from Gatlinburg.

That's a good place to take momma and the kids and not scare them. TWRA keeps the trails groomed very nicely. All the numbered trails are very easy.

Once upon a time prior to TWRA getting involved, that area had the best trails around... not anymore... not if you want technical trail riding. Actually, TWRA has done more ecological damage in their 3½ year involvement than all other ORVers did since time began.

Yes, I agree.....but it's still better than what many people have.....gotta be thankful for that. Back in the day, there was a LOT more trails and some VERY extreme sections. I can understand TWRA not wanting anybody getting hurt or lost, but I wish the trail closures would've been handled differently. Of course, TWRA isn't managing it as a riding area.....it's a wildlife management area and they want the trails to be accessible to as many as possible. With so many areas getting closed down (like Tellico), it's difficult to complain.
