I know everyone out there has been annoyed that you dont have a park brake and that when you stop in a crazy spot have to use 2 hands to get you RZR back into gear you quietly cuss at Polaris.
Well you need this brake from a RZR owner on e-bay. Check out the lisiting Parking Brake
I will save the details and tell you he has done his research and has laser cut quatily parts, the sticker is perfect and looks factory. I met him on the trails at CAW in NC saw him use his brake and found out he was in the middle of testing. I bought it right then and there, installed it, and was testing in less than 10 mins. I have been able to email him and watch the product change and the quality increase and I can tell you you can make a cheap replica but he has made it solid and already worked out all the kinks you will have. If you are ready for a brake that is easy to install and to use check this out. I use it every time I stop on hills, rocks, in rivers, on my trailer, when my 3 year old thinks its her turn to drive. No more jerking it from park or having it roll down a little on the trailer after I put it in park. Its simple to set and release and will lock all four tires with no screwing with your actual brakes.

Wow that sounds like I am pushing his product and I guess I am but I have only met him one time and I am so glad I did.

That's a great idea and not to bash any ones profit margin but over a year ago I made the same park brake for my Rzr with parts from a farming supply company for about $8.00 ....

The thing works great.

Well you know those eBay fees...

Sure you can gather the parts & do it yourself but it's good to have complete kits available. If nothing else they push us handy types to make our own
No doubt you could make it cheaper espically if you have the means and the guts to experiment. But sometimes its just nice to spend a little money and have it all worked out for you.
Calm down, I never say for that no one needs to buy this park brake system. I was just reporting that it is an old idea that was discussed on another forum over a year ago and if you don't want to pay the Rzr tax and can work a drill then you could make your own. I started my post by say, and I quote ... "Not to bash any ones profit margin" ... I don't mind any one trying to make a buck, I do it every day at work.

Wow, I think I might have stepped on a toe here!!
For real? You thought that post was harsh? I agree with you I look at things all the time and then make my version. I was just saying sometimes its nice to buy and be done, let someone else do the work. No hard feelings. I just liked the brake and the dude was cool. Its about making the ride better and safer...
It's kind of funny how 2 people will be taking about an idea and trading systems and technics and then out of nowhere some one is selling it and making money off it. I guess that's where the world has come too. Atleast if you build your own "stuff" then you know it's right!!
