2005-2008 Rangers:
Up to 27" tall tires: You can fit these tires on a stock machine. There may be slight rubbing under hard driving with the 27" tires.

28" to 30" tires: You can fit these tires using a 2" lift. Some have installed the Super ATV 2" forward a arms to give them a little more clearance. Only Super ATV makes forward a arms for these years.

2009-2010 Rangers:
Up to 27" true height tires: You can run 27" Tall tires with a 2" lift, but some tires such as 27" Bighorns are 28+" tall and will not fit with a 2" lift.

28" and taller tires: These tires require 2" forward a arms with a 2.5" lift from Ranger Pro Lift or the highlifter floorboard cutout kit.
Only Ranger Pro Lift makes forward a arms for these years.

Here's a pic of the older body style with a 2" lift and the 2" forward Super ATV arms Carnivore spoke of above. Lots of clearance for 29.5 Outlaws.

Hey Rick,

What brand windshield and roof system do yo have on your Crew? I'm in the midst of buying a '10 Crew and would like a windshield and roof, your setup looks pretty nice.
I read on one manufactures website that they don't recommend a fixed windshield if you don't plan to have a back panel because dust will swirl into the cab from behind... is this anything you have noticed? I really don't want a back panel.

What is a good price to pay for new crew?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I paid $11,400 + tax for mine back in October 2009. No additional setup or freight fees either

Greg, Welcome to SSW.
There is no doubt that on any side x side if you have a windshield you will suck in a lot of dust if you don't have a back panel. The windshield creates a vacuum that just pulls that dust right in.

I was quoted $11,299 plus tax, office fee, registration, prep... Basically came to $12,150 out the door. They handed out this price with no negotiating at all, I wonder if there is a little more room in there? :) Too bad there aren't any Polaris rebates or anything right now.

I'm sort of thinking of going with the tip-out windshield and no back panel to start, if it's warm and dusty the window would be open and eliminate the vacuum (hopefully). Otherwise I can always add a back panel I suppose.

Greg,

Go to our Links Page and check with the dealers listed. Tell them you are with SSW and PRC and you might get a good price.
