For those shooters amongst us, here is a link to a place with a little of everything. It is a subsidiary of Brownells and I recently found out about them after placing an order with Brownells. It is called Sinclair International. Have a look, they have everything from live ammo to stuff to reload it with.

I haven't reloaded in years but still have all the stuff. Have prices on powder & bullets gone up along with the factory ammo? Is it still way cheaper to reload... or do you mainly do it for accuracy or fun? For example a few years ago it didn't make economic sense to reload 9mm & smaller. Has that changed?

Mark,

I think most reloading is done for accuracy these days. Stuff has gone up considerably. I have been away from it for several years too. It used to be a lot cheaper to load shotgun shells. I never did much for the rifle and none for pistols. Just looking at the pricing though, you can go buy a box of ready to fire ammo cheaper. You just wouldn't have the joy of homebrew!!

If you are shooting the big bore stuff or rifles its still a lot cheaper to reload.

One of these days it would be fun to get back into again....I just got too many hobbies and not enough cash flow to support them all LOL.....Haven't figured out how to grow a money tree yet (however, my kids think I am one).

Yeah that's about where I am with it. I reloaded .44 mag, .308 and .30-06 for target & hunting loads. It was fun but time consuming at the press, on the range, and keeping records. Now that my kids are grown and not demanding all my attention I'm thinking of getting the press mounted to a bench again--if only to use up my powder & bullet stock :) I'd also like to revisit creating a cheap target load for my .44. I had a recipe before that only cost 5 cents per round but I made the mistake of using unjacketed wadcutters with no copper base. Before I could even shoot a cylinder full the lead jammed the cylinder & badly fouled the bore.
