Yes, that is a good policy and it makes people less nervous if others do not point firearms at them.

But the fact can not be deigned that an empty pistol, with the slide locked back is safe and a pistol in that condition can not shoot anyone. I have even looked down the barrel of a pistol in that condition and it may shock some people to hear it, but I even lived to tell the tale.

As long as they are not fighting I think we should not lock it. I believe it will lose steam soon. The majority of them realize the gun thing is a bad idea. We do need to keep an eye on it though. Just my 2 cents.

Shut it down. It's a war that will go on forever. No one will win because side A wants side B to see it their way and won't stop till they do and vice versa. I was going to jump in earlier, but carnivore beat me to it so I let him go with it.

Not a problem Curt, thats why I asked. Thanks for the input. I agree with Chris also. Williams till not let it go no matter what he says. He will keep poking at it all night. I'll watch it for a couple more hours and then I'm going to bed. Not feeling well tonight.

If they do something stupid we can shut it down, but until then it will just start another fight with them. They are doing a pretty good job of not getting to viscious with each other. I think I am going to have a private conversation with MRWilliams before I sign off tonight. Don't worry, I won't rile him up tonight.

BTW, my personal thoughts on the issues brought up. #1. As Curt said, you never ever look down the barrel of a gun. If you need to inspect the barrel, remove the bolt if it is a rifle or the barrel if it is a semi auto pistol. #2. Alcohol and driving never go together. Around here, the police wrote a man up for being drunk on a horse one time and being drunk on a riding lawnmower another time. Both were riding on the shoulder of the road!!

It only takes one moron to make the whole crowd look bad!!
