I'm taking my Ranger to Canada this summer. Can anybody tell me what to prepare for to cross the border and to ride legally? Any required non-standard mods to a stock Crew?

It really depends on where you are riding.A Spare gas can is a good idea. where I ride up there theres not many gas stations, but you are only allowed one full spare gas can. Helmets are required. A lift is a good idea, and better tires were a must for me as there was quite a few muddy areas we had to cross.
Also legally Canada require you have a copy of the title when crossing the border, however I have never had them check it. Not to mention you need either a passport or the new Drivers license that doubles as a passport when driving across borders.

Gary, here’s some info that may be of some interest to you concerning the ‘Enhanced Driver's License’ program that we now have in Michigan - this is the route I went because we take 2-3 trips to Canada a year.
