Mike,

I went over and took a look at the thread in question. It looked like you handled it fine. I then re-read it again, slowly this time, and decided that pretty much all had been said that could be without it getting ugly or uglier. I locked it and put the note there for any new information to be sent to you guys and you could post it there and unlock it again.

Now, my thoughts here on the subject. PRC as a forum, does not and will not promote any riding where rules are broken. Things such as our rally and any organized rides through PRC that may come up, must follow both the letter and the intent of the law, no exceptions. In fact, the Rally committee is working hard on making sure that happens. That idiot RZRwrecker is planning on coming to the rally and if he things he can do as he pleases, he may find that we will have a police escort for him to leave![:0] Now, having said that, PRC does not and can not run people's lives and we have no control over whether or not they follow all the rules when riding alone or with friends. I wish they would, but in reality, we know they don't. Not following the rules is what gets riding areas taken away from everyone to ride on. So, I can see Gamalot's point as well as the others point. It does need to be clarified and put into black and white. If we were having a rally there, ONLY the green trails would be used because that is what the law says. But, truthfully, they probably do allow the RZR on most any trail. It is a gray area and I can see both sides. But, leaving the thread open would only lead to a lot of trouble I fear. Geez, I was hoping for one dang day of reprieve!!![:)] In effect, you did good Gary.

I appreciate the follow-up. I had thought about locking it but I'm trying to tread lightly when it doesn't involve staff bashing or being down right crappy.
It would not bother me at all to see rzrwrecker not show up at the rally. Is his cab made of cardboard or plywood. LOL
I still haven't figured him out yet. I think he may be a little off to say the least. I saw one of his replies that stated something like, "it has been a long time since I started a forum". Hell, he can't even type. I know I'm not better than anybody else but damn, some of these guys crawl right up under your skin and just keep poking. When I on here, just going about my own way, I could just ignore and avoid these guys. We're not moderators, we're babysitters. You said we can rant here and yah it helps. I should probably avoid some things after a long day at work, but that wouldn't be fair the other members. It ain't Mt.Dew tonight, but they sure are cold.
Ok, I'm done.

P.S. my wife now calls me Dr.Phil-rzr. lol

LOL!!!! LOL!!!! Hey Mike, you are sounding like me at times!!!! Dr. Phil-RZR, now that is a good one!!!! LOL!!! Just make sure you know where you keep the pacifiers at!!

Hey, seriously, I will leave it up to you if you want to unlock it. After seeing how quickly these things turn south, I thought you could post the info from your sister there when you get it and then leave it unlocked.

I totally understand what Gamalot is talking about and I sort of sympathize with him, but I really don't think it would be a good idea for PRC to sticky the rules of ANY riding area. Those rules and laws change fairly frequently and keeping them updated would be difficult at best.

As you point out, Bruce, any PRC sanctioned ride is going to be done strictly within the rules of the particular riding area anyway, but never (IMO) would we want to be considered an authority on rules for these riding areas. At the very least, any such information issued by PRC would need to include a disclaimer stating that PRC can not be held responsible for posting inaccurate or outdated information.

Bruce sounds good to me. I'll post it up and unlock it and keep a close eye on it afterwards. Glad I've got somewhere to blow off some steam where everybody understands what I'm talking about. Thanks. Oh, I was going to change my sig. but decided that may not go over good.

Mike,

The thread is unlocked now. Keep an eye on it. You couldn't remove an admin lock so we took our lock off.
