Wondering what the SxS world is using for a portable weekend cooker while on the trails.
Something to cook for at most 4 people and needs to store in the SxS during the trail session.
Whatcha all using???

I use a small propane grill that I also take camping.
I used to have a small expaneded metal grill grate with some fold down legs that was about 14" tall. This grate frame could be placed over an open campfire for roasting dogs, cooking burgers, chicken or whatever. You could also build a bigger fire and place a pot for heating stuff up too.

If I was cooking on the trail, I would use this and probably a coleman stove.
Has anyone ever tried one of these?

Thomas,
I bought one of those four years ago and still love. I am no cook but can sear the juices in a steak that makes me llok like I do indeed know what I am doing. I bought a second (knock off) for $69 so I could leave one in the camper and it works just as well.
