It is a TSI kit. It works well, but required considerable modification to get it right.leimy said:John what turbo set up is that? Does it work good? Did it all fit under the bed without cutting it all up? Thanks
Do you have any or cant you take a pic of where your running the turbo oil return line to?? Im trying to turbo my ranger right now and think i have the right spot to run it to. Thankszrated said:It is a TSI kit. It works well, but required considerable modification to get it right.leimy said:John what turbo set up is that? Does it work good? If you want a turbo, I would recommend the Aerocharger.
If you want a Supercharger, I would recommend a Mountain Performance kit.
You bet!azcity08xp said:Do you have any or cant you take a pic of where your running the turbo oil return line to?? Well i made it harder then i need to. I pulled out a freeze plug on the oil pan and tapped it for a fitting. :? Hope it works!!zrated said:You bet!
Here is a picture of my Turbo relocation project on the RZR. It shows the view that would be most like your Ranger project.
Although the picture doesn't show it, the oil return hose clamps onto a modified oil dipstick tube. You basically need to get a similar sized piece of tube and graft it into the stock dipstick tube in a "Y" configuration. Make sure you do the connection as low as possible so the oil has a good grade to flow down to the return. You don't want it to back up at all! If you get ANY backup in the return line that backs up oil into the turbo it will smoke like crazy out the tail pipe as the oil squeezes out the turbos bearings.
You also need to make sure you restrict the oil flow going TO the turbo just a little bit. If you just have a gusher of oil going IN to the turbo, it will have a much greater chance of backing up in the line when you climb steep hills. Then it will smoke as the oil squeezes past the turbos bearings.
I didn't know about restricting the flow of oil going into the turbo at the time I did this project, so I ended up using an oil return pump after I took this picture.
Hope this helps.
