Yes, I went through the VW "Meyers Manx" phase. I even manufactured the fiberglass bodies and shortened the VW bug frames....owned an "Import Auto Supply "store. There were only 2 of us at it's peak but we had loads of fun and it kept us out of trouble. Made 16 one year...thats how I learned to weld and use a Chopper gun.

Cool Pictures, I ready like that body style, I was living around galveston Tx when they were popular. One like those buggies was actually the first type of offroad vehicle I ever driven.

My dad still has his MANX that he put together in 1969. We just repainted 2 years ago, green metal flake. It will be at silver lake in june.
