Tell SSW what you did to your machine today – be it maintenance work – installing aftermarket parts – making modifications – fabbing up your own parts - etc. Feel free to post some pics of what you proudly accomplished on it today also.

Well I had a 1 hour project, that took me about 6 hours to complete. I installed skids pans and 4 point harnesses.

One of my projects for the weekend was to install a Rugged Radios car to car radio and integrate it with my Rugged Radios intercom. This winter I have been out more and more with Sand Cars and other Side by Sides that have these radios and it moved up on my "To Get" list.

Everything went pretty smooth. The only real problem was I couldn't really start the project on Sat due to Honey Dos. I had about an hour Sat and manged to get the basic wiring laid out and the find a place to put the antenna.

I spent about 3 hours on this afternoon. I got most of the project completed and everything works, but I still have some clean up work to do. I will post some photos after I get everything completed, probably next weekend.

Car to Car Radio Install

I finished the install of the Rugged Radio Car to Car system here are some pictures. I already had the intercom system installed and working.

I did reroute the existing headset intercom cables to the back seat and added two additional cables for helmet intercoms for the grandsons. The male end of the cable is different for each type. I wanted the ability to use either headset or helmet.

Existing intercom the clear plastic in the background protect as second set of cables running to the rear seats:

XM receiver and car to car in glove box. I considered mounting the intercom here but I needed to reach the squelch knob on the intercom while driving so I left it under the dash.

This is the antenna mount using an Axia Alloy whip mount. With the soft top on the cables will be hidden. The antenna will be removed when trailering and I found a plastic bottle cap to protect the connection.

This is the helmet intercom set that will go in the boys helmets.

I also added a mount for my GoPro helmet camera and since I had the trail tires on Ranger I took a test ride around the block taking video. It worked fine so hopefully I will have some good videos and pictures to post after President's Day.

Gee there is never enough time and money to do everything you want to do to your toys.

Good and Bad.....---BAD---Slid on the wonderfull snow at 20 degrees into a tree and shattered the driver's side rear fender.--GOOD----My first purchase after buying my RZR 2 years ago Feb. 18 was a complete set of plastics that have been sitting on the shelf.

Sounds like everybody has been busy with their rides. Mike, too bad about the plastic, but look at the bright side once you install it, you have a new machine. :)

Mine has been sitting for the past 2 weeks in all this cold, this cold weather just about killed a 3 month old battery, it did kill my 2 year old 60 month battery in the truck.

I accomplished a real high tech project today....I mounted my Slow Moving Vehicle Triangle. I ended up taking some 1" Schedule 40 PVC Pipe and cut a section about 12" long, screwed the Triangle to that, wrapped some electrical tape around the bottom 4" of the PVC, and Perfecto....it fits very nice in the Ranger Lock&Ride hole on my Bed.

It took all of about 10 minute :)

Some mods, trying to get a little more with bolt ons.

Installed new S&S Headers and Pipe (I had to modify mounting to fit around the ROKTEK lift), UMP Air Intake (I couldn't handle the stock assembly letting dirt into my engine!!!!), ProCom computer replacement and 1.5 inch wheel spacers. I need to get into the dirt and see what she will do. Let me know if you guys have any bad experiences with these products. Oh I am running a 2009 RZR[/img]
